So I decided that I would try and get some kind of cold air feed to my induction cone.

After seeing how some of the 197/200 after market setups look thought I'd see if the approach of moving the filter further towards the floor in the engine bay would help reduce heat soak, then thought I would refit my stock cold air feed induction pipe back on and secured it in place with some...yes cable ties lol, so it is now directing air from the front of the engine bay/upper grill and scooting it towards the filter. Not really sure if its helped much or whether any difference at all would be pure psychological, busy surely more cold air pointing at it is good?

Anyways here's a couple of pics, excuse dirty engine bay!!!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358450266.827755.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1358450278.365504.jpg

Does it feel any different bud??
A little bit, feels like its ever so slightly more responsive, but to be quite honest it could be totally psychological as I know I've done something to it lol. But more cold air can't be bad?!

Looks nice but does it have a cold air feed?

Can't imagine sitting behind the battery, next to the engine that it's getting fresh air :?

I put the original air feed back on that goes into the front bumper which is feeding air to it and beneath it is a massive gap that you can see beyond the gearbox to the floor, I'm tempted to try fit another feed to it running down behind the headlight but may be a bit of a squeeze :-/ along the motorway the I take temperature has dropped from around 22-24 degrees down to 11 after repositioning the filter and refitting the original air feed so it must be doing something :)
