Well, on my 7th motorcycle lesson at the moment.
Mod 1 Test on Tuesday and Mod 2 in the near future!
Didn't think i'd want to buy a bike so soon until i seen these...
Iv'e been learning on a 600cc yamaha XJ6 and it seems a completely different riding position.
Anybody experienced both, i don't know if i'd feel the same kind of control on the cruiser models :S
any advice will be well recieved :D

Only 800's but i think they are pure sex on wheels

Not sure i'd want to spend that much on my 1st bike but these just blow me away.

You want a black xj6n trust me don't bother with this cruiser rubbish. I'm not bias because I have one or anything.
Can't comment on riding style though as only had sport style bikes

bandit 600 is meant to be the best bike to have just after your test.

cheap to buy, cheap to run, cheap to insure and will still leave all cars on road standing.

as for the cruisers, my grandad has tried them and he doesnt like them, riding style is all wrong and they arent that comfy.

my grandad has a vfr 400 as a toy but they are quite a small bike, he only just fits and hes 6 foot.

his proper bike is a 1050 tiger, he loves it.

Bandits are what i had in mind for a first bike.
Got carried away with the cruisers :p

It's just something for nice sundays, slow riding through the lake district etc. Don't want something that will do my back in and leave me with numb arms :p

A bandit would be suitable for what you intend to use it for. Like davey said there cheap to run, insure etc and there's plenty about to buy I think

This is my xj6n. Love it and highly recommend them if you want to spend a bit more cash.

That's what i'm learning on! Coping well, but after an hour of town riding, my arms start to ache, but i suppose after a while i'll adjust and be fine with it!

Try an SV650. You can learn a hell of a lot on one, and there's not too much power to get you into trouble.

If I had to sell all of my bikes, I reckon it would be the last that I could part with - yet probably one of the least valuable.

Want to do my bike license as well some day but I'm still unsure what bike I'd drive.

I like naked bikes, sport bikes and the more Harley type of bikes.

I'd probaly go more for a cruiser just because I'm more of the Sons of Anarchy/Hellride type of guy and not the wheelie stunting café racer (thats how we call them in belgium). Although they're not the most comfort rides, I still love them for the character and looks they have.

Personaly, I did my training on Honda CB500, a bit heavy and nothing in the engine...

I´m not much into cruisers so i canßt really give you any advice, just buy what you like, go test it, feel it, fall in love with it, and buy it. Bikes, it´s not a question of what´s the most reliable or the biggest mpg or anything like that... On every bike, you´ll take the rain in your face, you´ll burn your legs against the engine, etc etc. Especially if you want a sunday ride kind of thing, just go with the one you like, don´t even think compromises or any of this, just fun and pleasure.

For me, my bike garage is very sportx oriented, but so is my car garage anyway, and same for all my "toys".

Right after I got my license, the first bike I went to ride was a Ducati 1098 S... Then Monster S4RS...

Now I want that :

Ducati 1199 Panigale S (with a few mods)

And that for pure fun and to get on the bike upgrade thing :)

agree with above bandit is a good bike to start with. not o keen on the cruiser style myself more of a sports bike fan.
but my first bike was a yamaha thunderace 1003cc i like to start small lol

Pure porn! This should be in the naughty section! xD

if i have enough madness into my brain i would buy a motorbike but i will probably kill myself in the progress cause i like to extend my limits even with a car and on a motorbike the punishment can be more severe then with the car

but if i get mental enough i would <3 to get one of these KTM SuperDuke 990 R ;)
