welcome along dave, nice tidy example you have there. bit of advice though ; don't try to hold of the modifications however large or small they may be :D these little cars are crying out for modifications, and completely enhance the experience.

hope you enjoy your ownership

Hi Oscar thank you for the welcome :) yeah it does cry out for some modifications lol but over time i will slowly make some changes to the vehicle! already thinking doing the wheels in gloss black?

there we go, modification number one is already planned. gloss black would look good especially when the rest of your exterior trim is black

do you know how much that would cost roughly? my brother also recommended getting orange brake pads too

depends really on where you get your wheels done at. where are you from? other members may be able to give you recommendations that live local, but some places can charge you 300-400 for a refurb which is just ridiculous. i got my 15''s refurbed for £120 in evo green / takata green ''insert cool pre-fix to green here'' green .... :) for 15''s £30-£40 a wheel is normal, for 16''s 40-50 is normal and 17''s 50-60 is a normal price to work around per wheel. once you go over 250 you're being ripped off in my oppinion but hey some people just have deep pockets and like to throw money around!

orange brake pads? you mean calipers i think mate? you could choose any caliper colour you wanted, blue red green orange would look cool

Im from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, Yeah i got 17"s on mine, as much as i like them it has had two previous owners who i think didn't take that much care of them and are quite badly scuffed so thought do a revamp on them eventually. Yeah thats what i mean't about the break callipers haha, the car has done nearly 20,000 miles and they look like they've seen better days so thought get those revamped too. Using it for work so covering around 350 miles a week! but love the car its so good

if you notice how exposed the rims are due to the narrow tyres (the rims poke out further than the tyres do, therefore offer no kerbing protection ... hence the scuff marks!) this will happen as soon as you hit a pot hole etc mate so the best thing to do will be to look at either new aftermarket wheels, or look into wider tyres. 205 instead of 195's at your ride height will be just fine and protect your newly refurbished rims from scuffing or kerbing much more than they will right now

yeah they are mate, unfortunately there are a lot of potholes around here. i mean it might be the case i would have to change the tyres because the roads around here are in a poor state at best, certainly doesn't make the ride comfortable either haha

Hey, welcome to the forum. I got a quote to refurb my cup wheels by JP Alloys in Cannock. £230 to refurb. :)

thanks for the welcome guys, seems a nice forum and a place i will be coming to visit when ever i get the chance :D
