Now I'm not turning this into d!ck measuring comp but I'm after views. At 28 I've had a few relatively nippy cars. I've had a smart roadster (Turbo), Fiesta ST (NA), Civic type r (NA) and my 133.

Now I've always liked na due to the fun factor. Let's be honest, it's fun wringing the little things to their last breath. In reality though would you chose another? Personally having a house and the other commitment mean I have a 133 for practicality mainly, then fun. Naturally the next step would be a clio 200. Green, cup,NICE! Or is it? Thinking about it I'd have to spend a lot on petrol and tax. When I thought about that it made me think. I could get an abarth 500. Spending 600 notes could get me to 170hp. Still though, cheap tax, OK petrol.

So what do you think. Will you be looking for a nice quick na next or is turbo the way forward?

Abarth 500 - cars for little men who have no understanding of the word practical sat in one once thinking of test driving and every gear change you pretty much stroke your passengers leg, rear seats are for show and it feels very cramped inside.
Outside it looks great and sounds great.

Having come from a tuned twingo GT which dare I say could beat an RS in a straight line and in gear I'm happy with my RS as its more involving to drive and keeping its engine performs well and tests you at its limit on a challenging road.

The GT wasn't great in corners at all and and felt boring in general and too easy on every straights against similar cars.

BUT I wouldn't choose another 133 as in my eyes there is no model better than my Gordini so anything else will feel either a downgrade or a sidestep.

I don't care whether its a turbo or N/A, more power and a bigger car is on the cards for me next, so ill keep the twingo for 4 or so more years then look into either a fast petrol or diesel, only diesel car I'd want is either a BMW 330D or 335D coupe and petrols I'd be looking at 330s, Z4s and maybe a lotus exige or Subaru BRZ as they are a hoot to drive.

I will change my mind alot though, but bottom line is that the interior MUST be better than the dini and the car MUST have more power, gadgets and be bigger. I would even drive a range rover sport or BMW X5 if I could afford it by then!

I'm going turbo on my next car, but that's a few years away yet ;)

I got rid of my Octavia vrs to get my twingo. For me it's about having fun while driving and the Octavia was quick it was boring and lacked soul but was a fantastic all round car cheap to run, quick and did 40 mpg. I have had a few turbo cars and there just not as fun to drive.
But I was tempted by an 500 abarth as the engine is a peach and I think the 500 is a funky little car we have just been and ordered a 500 for my other halfs daughter and was impressed by the quality and drive.

My old Mk3 Clio had the 1.2 turbo in it and whilst it'd never set the world alight I did love the extra torque from the turbo that I just don't get with the 133. N/As are awesome high up in the revs but for being quick off the line it's gotta be a turbo.

Plus, turbocharged engines are open to all sorts of mods and you can squeeze so much power out of them with little effort... A garage down the road from me has managed to get 700bhp from a mk2 Focus RS (the owner has spent £40k+ mind you) but still, just goes to show what's possible. My dad used to have a Seat Ibiza Bocanegra and for a few hundred quid could've gained an extra 40bhp with the Revo stage 1 remap, just like that...
