I've got a brand new bus to drive for 5 1/2 hours today. It's so nice to drive and makes such a difference to drivin old pieces of ****. Last time I drove a brand new 1 was 6 years ago. It has all the mod cons electric blinds heating and air con for the passengers and 13 CCTV cameras

sounds like a nice change.

Unfortunately, I bet some of the current oldies will outlast the new one

Did you ever get to drive one of the old Routemasters?

Absolute classics.

I remember as a young student in London being amazed that you could jump on and off at the lights without waiting at the bus stop. There was a Pelican crossing at Liverpool St Station, about 20 yards before the bus stop, and if there was a queue at the bus stop you could time pressing the button so the bus was caught at the lights and sneak on before everyone else. I'm sure my Dad was proud of the "expensive education" I got

Wouldn't happen now - more's the pity.

Couldn't agree more!! But obviously when there's no passengers! An empty bus is a happy bus!

Terrible understeer I always found, but an icy country lane did induce a bit of power oversteer once!
