hey guys! just bought a twingo 1.2 extreme as a first car there awesome! anyone recommend any tuning or stuff to put onto it? cheers im jamie by the way

Welcome to the club! I had an i-music as my first car which is a special edition of the extreme. Amazing first cars!

The usually list of things people do to a 1.2 16v would be to put it on lowering springs, spacers and new alloys. There's not much extra power to get without it getting expensive.

Spitfire1 a member on here has done a fair amount to his with uprated wishbone bushes, coilovers with solid top mounts, induction kit, exhaust, sport cat, and a remap. He's pushing out around 91bhp.

Or do what I did and pop down to halfords and shove on a massive pod filter and laugh every time you put your foot down.

If you were to start seriously modding the 1.2 16v I would sort out those front seat straight away! You'll find that around certain corners the seat seems to eject your body off the seat into either the door or the gear stick.

Welcome along, stick some pics up when you get a chance.
My second car was a twingo 1.2 extreme and is what got me involved in this place. Only cosmetic mods for an extreme really opposed to power upgrades. Could do some handling improvements like lowering springs/coilovers etc
I believe the engine on an extreme is a 1.2 8v not 16v Dubz
8v = 60bhp
16v= 75bhp

Ahh my bad! I thought it was a 16v :p Briefly thought only the freeway had the 8v

This is my old extreme

Welcome.. If you need any bits for the car or any advice just give us a bell and can see if we can help you..

personally I think the biggest improvement to the driving experience of any of the lower end models is to change the seats as the standard ones don't hold you particularly well with not very prominent side bolsters etc. would see if you could get some from the 133 or some aftermarket ones. We have a few of the OMP ones on our site but can get a whole load:

after that would say look at springs from the likes of Eibach as they are progressively wound to keep ride comfort yet still remain stiff in the corners:
