Hi, just joined the forum to do a bit of research prior to (hopefully) buying a Twingo 133 or GT.
Looking at getting a 2007-2010 Twingo, currently deciding whether to go for the 133 and upgrade exhaust & filter, or go for the GT and upgrade the exhaust & a remap, looks like both would end up costing around the same in the end and have similar power levels... hmmm.....
The ideal would be to pick up a Twingo already modified, but they seem to be few & far between.

Previously I owned a Eunos Roadster (Mazda MX5) 1.6 to which I fitted a turbo, intercooler, injectors, ECU, and a load of handling mods, ended up with 200bhp in a car the size of a shoe box.... great fun!!!
Recently I've just been driving a van from work, this needs to change....

Looking forward to whichever Twingo I opt for, and posting a bit more frequently on the forum :D

Buy the 133 if you want the renaultsport derived handling, very harsh ride but rewarded with go cart like handling.

The GT is good for tune ability but the styling isn't quite as nice as the RS plus the handling and brakes aren't as good; they do tune well though 130+ HP is possible and you will get about 5 more mpg than in the 133.

I opted for the 133 over the GT for a few things, mainly the styling as Universe mentions. They look quite a bit better and the interior being a dark colour makes it look a lot smarter too.

As you say both will end up at about the same price and same power, so it's just personal preferences on the looks of the car really. Sure you'll enjoy whichever one you get.

 drifting just kind of "happens" when you have a rwd car ;)
I just prefer small, good handling cars over big cruisers with huge bhp.

Not from Aberdeen are you?
