Hi Guys, I'm a noob here and thought the best way to introduce myself is with my new Twingo RS :D I recently sold my liquid yellow Clio R27 and thought I'd give the Twingo Gordini a try. At first I wasn't sold on the new design, but once I saw her in the flesh I was sold! I know a lot of folks don't like the facelift, and I have to admit I was one, but I think she's a stunner ;)

It has the CUP chassis and suspension as well as the RS Monitor which is great fun, although I'm still running it in, so I can't play with all the features yet. I love the retro design and the link to the old Gordini R8 with the round lights, at first I didn't get it, but this has really grown on me...

Anyway, here she is, this is such a cool fun car, a lot stiffer than my R27 which was also a CUP, but really nimble and fun to drive, love the exhuast note :D

Cheers

Welcome to the club!

I think I'm finally converted I rather like the look of the facelift gordini

welcome, first time i saw the facelifted gordini :p have fun at the forums ;)

Argh!?! Get these pictures gone. I should hate the facelift... But the dini owner in me loves it!!

Welcome by the way!!

There seems to be a trend going here. The front of this looks ok but I still don't like the rear. The Gordini facelift is the only one people seem to be ok with

Don't like them sorry

Thanks for the warm welcome :D :D :D

The facelift is contentious for sure, at the same time I bought mine, a friend of mine also bought one brand new, but chose the pre-facelift Gordini, it's all down to taste as both cars are striking. We did a lot of side-by-side comparisons and it boils down to lights and bumpers. The pre-facelift didn't have the RS Monitor and the radio surround isn't high gloss black, other than that they seem to be the same inside...

One thing though on both cars, the central dash shroud above the speedo isn't leather covered, just natural plastic. All the press tests and pics I've seen show the Gordini with the leather covering, what do you guys have on yours? Anyone else got the facelift, I'd be keen to know?

Anyway, thanks again ;)

Some countries do have it leather covered and others don't. I think most left hand drive cars have it covered, but not the right hand drive. I asked Renault but never really got a definitive answer why.

my left hand drive car has a leather covered speedo surround the RPM counter is just painted , also what is different i have a USB and aux port in my dini next to my Nr.880 tag where james had 2 audio plugs for left and right audio o_O still find that so weird why they have not put a usb port there on the other hand the left hand drive twingo's dont come standard with a car alarm where the right hand drive cars do have a car alarm ....
