iPhone 5 will be launched in July at the WDC, just like all the previous models have been. No doubt about it.

Phone shops will tell lies to try and get custom.. I was told that Vodafone would get the original iPhone before it was launched... They've only just got it.

I got mine with tmobile cos I've been with them 12years ah the good old one2one days ringing them every week sayin I'm leavin them to get a new phone our if them lol

I wonder if the iPhone 5 will actually be a hardware upgrade or just a software upgrade to the current model. As in will it be something you can pay to download onto your iPhone 4?

Surprising as the 4 hasn't been out too long.

That said, I may try and be cheeky. The lady who deals with our phone contracts at work gets a massive pool of money to spend on phones. She likes us IT guys so supplies us with iPhones on the quiet! haha May be able to bag a 5 without having to pay.

I only paid £29 for my 4 and pay £45 a month line rental

It will be July and a new handset. It's happened at the same time every year, they won't change that.

It will have a better battery, memory and processor but there's not a great deal more they can do.

Make it so it's actually pocket friendly?

I paid £139 for mine, with a similar rental. Can't recall if I opted for an 18 month or 24 month contract though. lol

So expensive still considering most will be dropped and have their screens broken at some point during ownership.

By comparison, my Blackberry was free and on the exact same unlimited everything contract as an iPhone for £30 a month. Don't get me wrong, I'm an Apple fan through and through and have been using their overpriced hardware for years - I'd never own a PC again - but there's two things from stopping me getting one; they are too big still and too expensive to replace/insure/contract.

The battery ain't to bad on mine if u double click the main button on the 4 it will show u all the apps that r open. All I leave open is the phone messages and internet

Yeah, that's exactly why I've got mine in a silicone case and slip case for it, plus a screen protector!

I have no intention of dropping or breaking mine, like you say it's too expensive to be buying off tarrif. Thing is for it's size it offers a lot of features for it, in fact without a case on it, I personally think it's not too big for your jeans pocket.

I have a HTC desire HD. Its a brilliant phone and takes some amazing videos and pics! Mega fast internet too.
Still gets called a brick tho!
