Hello!

Been meaning to join here since i got the twingo a year ago, but was waiting until I had made the car look better.
I'm on the other twingo forum also with the same user name so some of you might know me :), I drive a 1.2 extreme (60 bhp of raw power!! ) . Since getting the twingo I have changed the stereo and speakers, wired in some tweeters, wired in the steering wheel controls so they work with the new head unit. other than that.... the mods have been a bit lacking! money has had to be used putting new tyres/ tax and insurance on the car (yawn)!

plans for this year for it are mainly to improve the looks with a GT fin, vinyl wrapping the front number plate section and badges, new wheels at some point (set of 182 wheels near me for sale... tempting!) and some colour coding.

I look forward to getting to know this forum!

(picture should be attatched, Hubcaps are back on now, but i quite like the black wheels :p)

welcome over Tommy. The Extreme and dynamique are quite good wee motors.

Nice Dini 100 too.

Thankyou for the warm welcome! Stripes would look great i think!.

Had a look at the progress thread and it looks like the 182 wheels with spacers is the way to go, i'l go and visit the yard after fixing the sunroof on our clio, darn things leaking like a siv!

Does the sunroof have drain tubes for the surround area. They may be blocked which happened on my MR2, resulting in water coming into the cabin instead of flowing away.

It does, its a t reg clio, ive blasted some air down the drain tubes with a footpump presurised with a small nozzle. I took the roof lining off and sat in it during the heavy rain we just had and it seems to be poaring in through the seal .... Im quite confused.

at the moment its currently covered in gaffa tape as renault want 45 quid for a new seal.... All the seals at the scrap yard have gone the same as mine, all flakey!

Any advice is more than welcome :)

Ps, loving the wheels on your display picture singlespeed! What make are they?

Welcome to the forum mate :)

The wheels are Speedline 2118s, not bad for his WINTER WHEELS!
They just happened to go on before winter and be wearing winter rubber ;) Something grippy will probably be going on in the spring :)

a quick google reveals the front wheel arch liners are often filled with mud (rear end of front liner, between bulkhead and the liner) and the drain tubes are effectively plugged in this mud. If you have had the roof lining out and the drain tubes don't look to be connected and not the place the leak is from (they could have cracked or become disconnected), get the liners cleared out.
