New Twingo Renaultsport pricing revealed
03/02/2012

Renault UK is delighted to reveal the pricing and options package for New Twingo Renaultsport 133 which will go on sale in Britain in early April.

... With an on-the-road price tag of £13,595, New Twingo Renaultsport 133 is expected to be a hugely popular choice among those buyers seeking an affordable sports hatchback and will be the first car from the Renaultsport family to take inspiration from the manufacturer’s latest styling identity.

Featuring an altogether ‘sportier’ front-end with a more prominent grille than the previous model , coupled with a bigger Renault diamond, the car will also have a Formula One-style front blade to bring the appearance in-line with sister models Mégane Renaultsport and Clio Renaultsport.

To the rear of New Twingo Renaultsport 133, new split light units are a stand-out feature along with a sports exhaust and roof spoiler. Sitting on 16-inch Emotion alloy wheels as standard, with an option of 17-inch Renaultsport alloys also available, the car exudes poise and purpose.

Under the bonnet, an upgraded 1.6-litre VVT 133 Renaultsport engine provides better consumption and lower emissions than the previous variant. With emissions down from 155g/km to 150g/km, fuel consumption is equally impressive:

Urban – 32.5mpg
Extra Urban – 52.3mpg
Combined – 43.5mpg

Aside from the aforementioned 17-inch Renaultsport alloys (now available in anthracite or gloss black), other options include the Cup Chassis which provides a lower ride height and stiffer springs to give a superb road-holding performance.

Furthermore, New Twingo Renaultsport 133 will be the first Twingo model available in Renaultsport Liquid Yellow – this option is priced at £1,300.

It fell quickly out the tree ;)

I think its quite expensive at that price tbh. We got our new Alien green 200 for that price with a few options.

I wouldnt pay any more than £12k for one as the depreciation is gonna be murder.

They've pitched the price at the Suzuki despite the fact the Suzuki outshines it in lots of ways now.

They've gotta up their game with the genuine new model

Yup. The era of a small N/A engine is long past. For the majority of prospective buyers a small capacity turbo (1.4T) would be a lot better. Even lower emissions, better performance, mpg etc. A lot of enthusiasts prefer the N/A high revving engines but in this day and age, thats not enough.

I meant more in terms of build, looks, standard equipment, ride and several other areas. The suzuki ran it close and the drive was just more exciting in the 133 but I don't think it's enough this time around

I recently bought 09rs with 17000miles for 6500 why anyone would pay for that new model is beyond me...

New cars are really only worth it if you like to be the first person to own/drive it and are gonna keep it for a long time. When we bought the 200 we decided to go brand new as I plan on keeping it until it dies as a track car after another couple of years, though I'm no debating weather to stick a 200 engine in the 133 and keep that as a track car.

Also remember the price above is without the Cup chassis, so thats another couple of hundred bucks you'll have to add onto the price tag.

True i also wanted a 200 new but realised the cost/gain over the twingo wasnt worth it. Same with cup chassis for the extra discomfort it didnt seem worth it when after a few years i would probably put ast or bilsteins on if they ever get round to making a twingo kit.
