Hey,

I'm after a full set of tyres but I'm unsure of what to get as a replacement...

I've used Falken FK452, Yokohama Parada Spec 2's and Nankang NS2's previously on various cars and I don't rate any of them as they are shite in the wet and pretty average in the dry (excluding the Paradas).

I've been looking at Toyo T1R's as my friend uses them on his 106 GTI but the wear rate is awful. I've heard Uniroyal Rainsport 2's are good as well as Continental Sport Contact 2's ?

Any recommendations would be appreciated :)

Thanks

I have Pirelli Pzero Nero on mine right now and they're pretty much the same as the Conti's and I think they're a little cheaper.

I still have the Conti's on my original 17" Renault wheels though and are still usuable (can do about a good 15000 km with hem)

I've heard people say the t1r wears sooo quick but I can't work out how. I've had them on 2 cars and they've always worn better than expected, I guess your friend must drive it on its handles or is running some epic negative camber?

I'm going for T1-Rs next, they seem a good price and alot of higher powered cars I see use them and rave about them, so on a twingo they should be good!

I had hankooks on mine. Great tyres for the price and they wear better than the contis. They were 70 or 80 odd pound a corner

The Hankooks are only about 40 ish a corner on 15's... looking into buying some new wheels with tyres instead now though...

Opinions... Speedline Turini 16" In Anthracite... or Speedline Challenge 2110's 16" in Silver or possibly White on either.. ?

As a fanboy, I'd say go for some OZ's :D

Araf got these, 15' OZ's designed for Renault

Would like bigger than 15" and I don't know why but I really don't like OZ alloys lol

Then buy my old Wind wheels (made by Speedline), complete with tyres. ;)

If you want Speedline Turini, then I found Larkspeed were offering the best price.
