Well - It has taken me ages but I finally have a picture of the alloys on the car. In my opinion it looks brilliant - I don't usually like to add a "semi - sporty" look to a car as I have usually been tarting up 1.2 clios. But this clio can just about get away with it as it has a bit of poke (sort of)

I am also getting rid of my old wheels - they are on ebay. I am not trying to sell them on here (as I have no idea what they are worth... probably not a lot) But they are on ebay - Item number 331132493631. (If I am not allowed to put the product number on here if its against selling rules - mods please remove)
 
looks good enough to me tommy, i see you're delighted with the gt wheels? i recon it would be good ecnonomy to flog the clio wheels for what you paid for the twingo wheels, that would seem about fair really!?
 
Yeah that is true - I will set up a thread asking what I bought the new ones for.

I love the look of it, as you mentioned - they stick out a tiny bit more and seem to give it a better look on the driveway. handles a little better as far as I can tell, less wiggly through corners. My sister (who used to own it from new) is horrified that I am changing things ha! the wife has tried to claim the whole car!
 
i'm sure with the offset difference between the two wheels, it has increased the track width of the car (pokes out further in the arch) by a good few mm's ??? this will lead to slightly better handling as the weight of the car is distributed over a larger square area in theory. who owns it now, the sister or the wife lol?

it does look much better i have to say. i think the twingo gt's are cool, but they are a deffinate love / hate, wheras those clio wheels just look bad from every angle! well not bad, just absolutely boring lol
 
Ha! agreed on the clio wheels, they look very dull - Everyone thought they were hubcaps! I own the car(and most importantly pay for it) Wife has the purple scenic and the sister owns a newer (but not the latest) clio DCi - I offer the old alloys back to my sis as she has hubcaps.... but she is very iffy about changing anything on a car (dull)

I get what you mean about the love hate for the GT wheels - I love them, most at work say they look like pram wheels!

Set up a for sale thread for the old ones - they may be suitable to upgrade a standard older clio im sure :)
