New works pc, but no wireless card?? Eh?

I've just bought one of these for work

Hooked it all up today with a nice new 23" led screen, but it appears I can only connect to the internet by ethernet cable.
Last few pc items I've bought were all laptops, I never even though to check whether it had a wireless adaptor.

So questions -
a) it doesnt does it?
b) what type of adaptor to get? The cheapish Netgear ones? About £20?

What router u got? Whos your provider and what pc is it?

Desktop PC's usually don't come with wireless adapters built in unless they're an optional extra on a custom build from Dell etc.

I havent got a clue what router we've got in the office, but I will try one of the netgear dongles you highlighted JE_GT.

Back in the office tomorrow , so will pick one up tonight.

the other option u have is an internal wifi card, a lot more stable in my opinion, better range on them as well

+1 Found some USB wireless adapters very unreliable with some machines. They don't make the best of some network speeds too (Some USB versions are slower than modern nifty networks )

Aye one of those would be much better, usually cheap as chips too

Cos I'd have to get the cable and trail it all the way from the router to my office.
I'm as tight as fcuk, and cant be arsed with:
a) the hassle of doing it myself - I've got plenty of other stuff to do
b) paying a computer boff to come in and do it.

Wireless Netgear adaptor picked up last night and fitted.
Works a treat
