Just thought I'd pop in this section and say hi I've made s few topics and posted already but hopefully pick up the magical car hu-dini tomorrow :p

Cheers people and a good few reasons really
1. I've always had clios mk2 ph2's but non sports and it was a toss up between twingo rs and 197
2. When I finally got the 197 I really liked it but never fell in love like the old ph2's also didn't feel like the 172 and 182's to drive as tbh overall think Renault had ruined it
3. Insurance with twingo more than halfs as its gone up again this year even 5 yr ncb and 5 yr driving almost
4. Tax and fuel
5. Feel like I should have picked the old ph2 Clio sister chassis the twingo :) so yeah I can only see good and love from here lmaoo

Funnily enough I share your opinion on the mk2 vs mk3. My 172 was a tad quicker than my 197, but it also felt a lot more exciting to drive due to less refinement.

Welcome to the club

Welcome to the club. Interesting to hear the comparison from a 197 owner. Heard similar, but those with 200s seem to feel different about their cars, almost like Renault listened and sorted the clio out

Welcome :) bit worrying that you didnt think the 197 was any good :( since i bought one a few weeks ago, im liking him so far. Anyway welcome and get some pics :D x

Cheers people and just 197 seemed to lack something but I picked up twingo today :):) gordini number 124! But on way home driveshaft ****** :/ so yeah the garage are sorting that lmaoo

Well found another few bits I'm not happy with so getting them sorted too hopefully and cv boot and driveshafts gone faulty it's drivable but I would put the boot down bud also how do I check if I got cup chassis? And I've got black inserts on wheels :p

I went from an EP3 Civic Type R to the Gordini.
Not really looked back and I'd had the Honda 4 years.

And the other car in the stable is a 182 Cup. :)

Getting 42-45mpg weekly in the RS133 so its not bad, though I have to say, I'd get 39 in the 182.

It's strange I do miss the power after one day but I love it more than the clio already :/

Welcome.

I do prefer my 197 overall to the 133 i had, but there is no doubting it extra damage to the bank balance.

For bang for buck you can't beat the 133!
