Just read a review, I have no interest in the micra itself but am quite interested in the engine...

97bhp 1.2-litre supercharged three-cylinder petrol unit, one review claimed 70 MPG.. wonder if this is going to make its way into the new twingo, maybe replacing the 1.2TCE?

Oh I agree. Just seems odd that they developed this engine and nissian and Renault sharing the same bed that they would continue with the 1.2tce.

as much as the micro is a horrible car, my nan had one three cars ago - so 7 years ago - was a brand new one when the newest shape came out, and it was horrible on the outside, interior was very well done and engine was smooth. she's stayed with nissan since.

I do think the same as wee bob that i imagine the 1.2 supercharged engine from that will make its way into a twingo.

Is this the Skyactiv engine?
I might be mixing it up with a similar, small displacement engine..

Something crazy like a 14.0:1 Compression Ratio on both the Petrol and Diesel engines.

Regarding Micras, the only one I'd be seen dead driving in, would be this one

EDIT: I was indeed mixing this up with the Mazda Skyactiv engines!
