Do you get one year of no claims if you've been a policy holder for one year?

In April I'll be 18 and would have been a policy holder for a year as I was the policy holder on my provisional. I know that on my current insurer it counts as a 1 years no claims. Would this carry onto other companys such as elephant or admiral?

I want a 133 and the insurance quotes are bloody good for me on a 133 with one years no claims compared with what I'm on atm

It will only class as a year when you reach the end of the term ie if you get 12 months for the price of 10 you can't claim the year until the 12th month. You can then take that year to any other provider.

The new company will ask for proof and you'll get a certificate or they'll get it direct.

There are people in here IIRC work in this industry that may well answer this better than my post.

I got a 133 when I was 18 as soon as I had 1 years no claims after having a 1.4 corsa and was alot cheaper to insure the twingo and I swaped insurance companies from direct line to admiral who carried on my year no claims.

Well I changed from provisional insurance to full insurance in September and my policy is up for renewal on April the 2nd.

Just found out its £150 cheaper to insure a Renault GT than my i-music and it's £300 more to insure a RS twingo than my i-music hmmm

£1557.73 for the RS twingo with one years no claims.

£1107.73 for the GT

£1257.73 for my i-music

Some times i wonder if no claims matters as everyone has different prices as it is. I think its all down to the premium at the time

I've got the A grade postcode for insurances :)

I wouldn't have thought about the time of the year for insurances prices
