Well my mum has only gone and bought a Twingo Gordini TCE! :lol:
She asked me for some ideas on what would make a good car to replace her 2004 Ford SportKa. She wanted something nippy and fun but not expensive to run. Her SportKa had crap MPG and the tax was £210 a year as well as needing some tlc.
So I suggested she try the Twingo 133 (non-Cup) or a 1.2T as well as a few others, including the Fiat 500, Ford Fiesta etc.
Anyway, I know what she's like and goes very much on first impressions. There's no way I could persuade her to buy a car she didn't like the look of but she was so impressed with the 1.2 turbo along with the Gordini touches, like the leather and stereo she didn't even look at the other models I suggested.
She picked up a black Gordini TCE, with 3,000 miles on the clock for £8,600 and a good part ex on her SportKa. Collects it on Friday.
Also from my perspective, I was really impressed with it overall. I mean I prefer a 133 Gordini in blue but I liked the look as hers isn't having the stripes but the white mirrors/fog light surrounds/spoiler break up the black nicely. Also the engines don't feel like a 1.2 at all. Plenty of torque and if you hold them in gear surprised me with how well they pick up.
