:D hey y'all I'm after 4 of everything pads and discs is there any good sites to buy off and good makes etc or are genuine Renault best?. .. as Renault quoted me over 600 for them  and I'm not sure I want to pay that much :p

Thanks

wazza from memory the oem 133 discs are brembos or ferrodos i believe however don't take my word as my bond on this one. yotah does however use standard discs with uprated pads and he does swear by that setup. what to do is have a look over his thread and find out his set up and get onto google to find the pads

I'm pretty sure yotah has the Clio R2 brake set up.

People say the standard disc and uprated pass are easily good enough for a weekend blast and general use

Have a look on k-tec's website or KamRacing's website there's loads of info on there

Thanks guys. I really need to find something they are abit squeeky now hahha

you're buying new pads and discs just because you have squeeky brakes? are you nuts sir lol. get the caliper off, clean the caliper with a wire brush or emery paper and grease the backing plates up and check your slider pins aren't rusted out!!!!!!!!!!!

You mised a couple of important bits. Check the thickness and condition of the discs/pads ;)

Front brakes:-
Minimum Disc Thickness For Replacement / Ventilated Front : 21,8 mm
Minimum Pad Thickness Front : 8,2 mm (measurements include lining and pad backing plate)

Rear Brakes:-
Minimum Disc Thickness For Replacement Rear : 7,0 mm
Minimum Pad Thickness Rear : 6,0 mm (measurements include lining and pad backing plate)

you sly dog you :D !
i would have said it but i could only assume wazza doesn't have an external micrometer otherwise we'd go all out and demand a go on the dial test indicator just to confirm his runout was fine so we can save these squeeky brakes. usually the minimum thickness legally of the brake lining itself is 2mm or therabouts so if you use a ruler preferably a steel rule, measure the backing plate first then the lining and add them both together to get the fronts and rear above values! mines are squeeking too, please don't make your next reply a quote of my previous post haha :(

10mm and 8mm spanners ;) not very accurate, but a reasonable guide and likely to be in a modest tool kit

If the front pads fit in the jaws of a 10mm spanner, consider replacing them. If they fit in the 8mm, definately replace them.

If the rears just fit in the 8mm spanner then consider replacement.
