Pembrey bike trackday

Mentioned in another thread that I was thinking of doing a trackday this weekend, well the weather forecast was good so booked it on wednesday for today.

got there at 7.30 am to sign on, didn't get out on track till about 10 o'clock due to a delay. 1st session was cut short due to someone breaking down but then the following 5 20 minute sessions went without a red flag and got home about 5.30 ( I only live half an hour away )

here's a few photos of the day, my mrs turned up after dinner and tried to take a few photos she didn't know how to zoom in :roll:

Thanks was the best trackday I've done, was going out near the front of the group so I wasn't stuck behind some of the slower blokes and out of 20 bikes in my group only 3 were faster than me.

Thanks I know what you mean I always read in magazines of testers talking about 100mph knee down and think wtf but the zx6r was amazing yesterday, better than my old gixxers ( I could only get my knee down on the hairpin ) but combined with my new rearsets I was getting my knee down on every corner apart from the kink on the backstraight which was ton plus and not much of a corner.

Never done a trackday there, have been to watch one ages ago. From what I remember isn't it more or less 4 corners and 4 straights

about 8 in total, lol
not much but can get some good pace with exit corner and long straight at the top. plus its cheap.
going to have to get myself down the other welsh tracks later in the year
