Terrified to post up pics of the new car before giving it a wash :)

Got round to it today between the rain showers.
Only had it since Wednesday and I've done more miles in 3 days than I used to do in the last car in 2 weeks. :D

The wheels dont half get dirty.

Exhaust cleaned up nicely with a bit of Autosol yesterday. Snow foamed the rest of the car this morning.

Before I looked at one, I thought they were 'just' white stripes! Nice details

Interior is a nice place to be. I like everything about it.

No plans for it other than aftermarket panel filter, for what its worth.
Really impressed with the bluetooth for the iphone/ipod. Handsfree phone and music from the iphone over bluetooth was easy to set up.
Cruise control, speed limiter, whats not to like. :)

Thanks for reading all

Looks amazing. I wouldn't mind owning a clean twingo myself. You do house calls???

It's ok lol. Looks stunning though. Also I find the bluetooth streaming awesome. it's handy just to get in the car and it plays. Also really easy to change from one phone to another. Glad your enjoying it and hope to see you at a meet soon.

Get used to that, it can be adictive, taking the long way home to hit a couple of twisty bits

Yep, the G's in the stripes are a nice touch, but I think I would be preaching to the converted

Thanks for the comments fellas.
The spec on the Gordini puts car costing much much more to shame.

I'm sure I'll catch up with some of you guys very soon.

From a fellow dini an clean freak "mate it's looking spotless"

Only thing you need to watch are:
Polish catching on the edge of stripes, bugger to get off.

An the Gordini series badge keep it clean or it starts to go tacky and break up around the edges.

To be fair, it came pretty clean from the dealer. It had been waxed/polished, there was some dried residue in places, but it washed off fine. Beading in the rain was great. :)

Although yesterday was its first wash, I had great plans, but had to fit around the weather.
It certainly will get a clay, machine polish, seal and a couple of coats of wax when the weather improves.

I got caught out in the rain and even though I only have a single garage I still managed to put it away and dry it all and QD it in there!

jra3d, I've thought about the stripes already and have loads of blue 3m tape in my detailing box. Wouldnt go near it without taping over the edge to start with. Thanks for the heads up on the Gordini badge.
The 16V badges on the Clios are similar, if you dont take care of them they go all pitted. :(

Ok I've had to come back to this thread just to save this pics in my phone it looks sooooooooo nice

Yeah it's a pleasure fella.

Oh an keep it clean an polished an it will change colour. You see mine next to the no1 Gordini and in comparison mines purple compared to the blue. I'll try to dig out a picture and show the difference.

So its a negative or positive thing to polish it???

I'd expect the maintained (polished) car to more accurately reflect the original colour.
Wheres this pic with the No1 Gordini?

Mine will get machine polished once a year (two if needed), and then waxed periodically to keep condition tip top. :)

Positive too polish it mate and I'll upload the picture when I get home as it was from WSR last year!!

Ok James, I've got the Porter Cable and the 3M rotary ready for a break in the weather.
You're not far away from me are you? I'm Notts based. :)

In white light James' car looks stunning from where it's been polished and cared for as the pearlescent paint shows well so like he's already said keep it polished and the purple shows better

Not far at all in Milton Keynes. I'm planning a midlands meet at somepoint so keep you eyes peeled or if your passing pop over.

An cheers David, even tho it was dirty the other night it still looked purple at silverstone
