How often/miles should the spark plugs last before they need to be changed? The cheapest i could find for plugs was £52 - NGK 91432, is it only ngk or does anyone know different make.

Type of spark plug }+ Gap (mm)
CHAMPION 0.95 ± 0.05
EYQUEM 0.95 ± 0.05
NGK 0.95 ± 0.05

the correct part number is 8200587901 (ref. no. 1) for the factory fitted plugs, which are the ngk's

** edit - they are long life plugs, they won't need changed until 40,000 miles. take them out, clean the tips with some emery paper and clean them up. if they are worn badly after this, replace them after you have re-gapped them. to test that they are functioning properly, take the spark plug out with the pencil coil with the engine turned off and ignition off. use some insulated wooden tongs and put the tip of the spark plug up to the engine block or a suitable point, get a friend to turn the ignition on and have a look at the spark. if it's looking weak, they'll need changed.

the plugs will cost you less than ten pounds from a renault dealership, mines were about £8 and change

This as in the link he mentioned renault parts direct. I paid £25 for mine

oh i forget you're on a 133 mark, but daves on a twingo gt and the very same plugs renaultpartsdirect are charging 30 quid for, are the very same ones you go into your renault anrold clark etc to get and pay 8-9 pounds for a set of four. i believe the term 'shower of robbing bast..' or something of the likes comes to mind with this renaultpartsdirect !!!!!!!

I wouldn't trust £8 / 9 pound spark plugs for a set 4.

cheaps not always best!
so you wouldn't trust the oem plug that renault used from factory on the twingo gt, which is the original equipment reccomendation on auto data and dialogys from renault but would pay treble the price for the exact same plugs? must be loaded give us some money :D? the expensive ones you refer to are iridium ones, which are not needed on a small car such as a twingo! NGK-ILKAR7A7 with a gap of 0,6 - 0,7. i'm going to upload the entire tech data for the twingo gt and 133 later on so that neil can add it to the one karl started off printed it all off today

I've just not seen or witnessed any spark plugs for this car (GT) for that cheap.. I'm aware the iridium cores are not necessary however mines been tuned and not as standard so in my case maybe different to the original posters..

Haha I would give out if I had plently myself!! :D
