from a small sensor, probably only finger nail sized, the quality will probably unusable anyway...even medium format cameras with sensors the size of a *** packet only have similar MP's. The memory will fill up rather quick too.
 
Well, Nokia have put up a few sample images to "allay fears about the real world use of such a sensor". Blatantly not using anywhere near the 40MP mark for these though.

Fully agree, its a pointless numbers chasing game for the tech stat masturbators.
 
seeing that 6mp will comfortablle print an a3.

40 really. whats the point, i thought companies had stopped mp chassing as it had slowed down at around 18 for some time
 
The camera on the Nokia N8 is reasonably good with 12Mp, Carl Zeiss 28mm F2.8 lens and built in flash. Theres no way I'm tempted to upgrade for the 40Mp numbers as it would be like having an i-phone, where your always having to appologise for the quality being cack

I haven't had any problems with Symbian, or the phone, except no tapatalk app for the N8
