Hey,

I have a situation, my girlfriend has just passed her driving test today, and her parents cars are rather big so she can't really drive them.

So... I am wondering if anybody knows of anyone selling a banger but a good car but at a good price, preferably in the Scottish Region but i dont mind travelling a bit.

Thanks,
Andrew

Get her a Twingo ;-)

I like this idea but i think hes more looking at a cheap banger so if she bumps or scraps it then it wont matter

That is true unfortunately, bloody women on the school run are the worse

Well no... The rule doesn't apply to you Toni, because you have a proper drivers car... Which shows your more likely to be a fan of driving and probably a better driver...

Well... Maybe ;)

I dont mind, just wanted to point out we arnt all that bad, but alot of women are, but you could say the same for men

well a rough price or people are going to be offering anything from £150 to £1500

If you're buying a car for that sort of money, my advise would be to get the NEWEST car you can afford, and don't worry about what it is, how stylish, etc. It's the ONLY way to get reliability at that price...

I know i thought that, but then she is a woman, she likes stylish things she wouldnt drive something that look bad lol

just tell her see wont see the outside when she is sat in it :) but i can understand where she is coming from, i wouldnt want to drive a butt ugly car. but you should be able to find a ok looking one for £2000

Best car for that price is a Saxo VTS or 106 GTi, pure win!!

I'm still tempted by the idea myself, cams, TB and fully breathed, they'll keep up with most things on the road!! They just have the chav factor, especially the Saxo's.

Or how about a high mileage Fabia VRS? Could even get an ok-ish 172 for that price ;)
