Having a remap and cat back exhaust at Ktec Racing :D . Anyone had the same and how good were the results? :?:

lol
others have had their exhaust systems so hopefully they'll be able to comment, check youtube for some sound clips
dont worry ktec do a good of mapping, only slight nag for me (shouldnt effect you if just a remap and not bespoke from the ground up one) is that there software takes a bit to upload. hopefully it'll require about 3 mapping tweets from the coded remapped to adjust to your modifications. just incase bring a sandwich and a coat, yes it gets very cold in there!
**and mines been mapped by both so thats an unbiased and experince point of view. RS uploads quicker but is slightly more expensive as thats there bread and butter and have a rep as long as ....... lol. also if your going to ktec, go on a friday ;)

Rs tuning remaps arent there own bread and butter. They use a RS turner system and map that is Henks at fastchip.

If you get it mapped take it to another fast chip dealer and get them to load the map and it will say fast chips. Alot better and more successful map then Ktecs.

Also Ktecs mapper is the guy from GDI research GDI remapping ;)

And there exhaust is Janspeed

RS Tuning in leeds?

they did there own with mine and didnt have anyone else map it, was there for 7 hours watching myself.

RS tuning do live mapping that is there own unique map and but they also supply the fastchip that is done by henk.

You have to ask for a live map to get one. Henks map is just a straight up load map where the live map is all done on the rolling road.

ahh sorry. when i spoke to them they were looking for a stock 133 to compare to my map as well as make their own from it as they quite liked the 133s

Yea ive been talking with Paul. Looking to take my 133 up there for him to play with but hes got a bit on at the moment with a R27 that hes putting a R26 lump in

Oo that should be interesting!

And immense :D

What kinda gains did you get orbital? And what kinda gains do the generic map get?

never had a stock run at their dyno. if karl heads up there we'll be able to compare stock and remapped to mine.
only comparison i can give you is ktecs first remapped 133 which was dannys at 134bhp whilst mine was 135bhp with the first version of the manifold one and half the mapping complete. lower down my car pulled harder quicker but i gave up top end. havent been back to ktec to find out what 2nd version is now. most likely i'l back up to RS Tuning when 3rd version is finished

On paper it doesnt look great 131bhp 135 lb/ft (121bhp 120 lb/ft before). Yet the way the car drives is so much improved, it pulls so much better low down and goes all the way to 7000+ revs, oh and the exhaust just sounds great. well recommended.

Was this a standard car, before the cat back and remap?

A few more hp at the top end would have been nice but pointless unless you rag the nuts of it all the time. Mid range performance maked the biggest difference for day to day drivability, hence why your happy as it drives better. How much increase was there in the middle of the range?

Mines going on the rollers at RS in a couple of weeks time.

give me a PM when you head up. hoping to dyno and tweek the ecu again in a fewe weeks time and they havent had a stock 133 dyno'd so would be nice to look at the graphs but have someone to talk to. lol. i was sat there in the shop for 6 hours almost sleep! hehe
