It looks like Renault have finally woken up and realised that perhaps a "Gordini" shouldn't just be a fat RS..

Sure.. I like my 'Dini, but it's so loaded down with stuff that a Cup would easily make mincemeat of it. That doesn't seem right. Do you reckon they could fit the 200HP Clio engine in? Or a turbo?

Well I own a 133 Gordini without the Cup pack, my Mrs has a 133 with it and believe me it wouldn't eat the Gordini. Far closer than you'd imagine.

Nice to think Renault may got back to their heritage with the Gordini range but I considered the last models more a homage to the brand rather than an attempt to replicate it. That said I'll take what Autocar have to say with a pinch of salt until I see it happen haha.
