Man its going to lose alot of viewers but then again, I have Sky :p :)

Feel sorry for the guys who dont!! :/

I think teams are gonna struggle to find sponsers. Sky sports has such limited viewers compared!

booo :( I don't have sky sports and i love F1

:'(

although this mornings practice, hamilton quickest, webbers crash.. looks like a good race weekend!

As if sky wasn't expensive enough already! Now to add another £10er a month!

So annoying gonna have to et sky back, they have just offer me half price for 12 months! The smaller teams are gonna leave the sport due to sponsorship and the mid teams will fall away from the front runners I loving the BBC coverage so gonna be annoying still half the races will be on the beeb

Yeah but that's only half. If I'm watching a series and miss an episode or two I loose interest totally. Noone will wanna keep up with trying to work out whats on what channel and when. Very poorly done and they've gotta make a big uturn or the sport will start to die

At least if I actually do wanna watch F1 I wont have to listen to David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan chat **** or that guy that wanders around the start grid annoying everyone trying to get interviews, god he annoys me!

Sky Sports ftw imo!

Why can't the BBC and Sky Sports both have it?

It wouldn't add numbers to the sky subscription tally if you could watch it on either free to air or their channels, so they'll want some 'exclusive' live content out of the deal for it to make any sense at all for them. Hence the only half live on BBC.

Not happy about this deal, but unfortunately can't see it really changing now.

i suppose it has been a long time coming. I'm surprised it didn't happen before it moved to the beeb.

give it 5 years and f1 will b dead.

beeb have half the races, no practice, no quali as of nxt year but they are not even going to be consecutive races!!

sky have every race, all practice and all quali.

sky have said they are not going to have add breaks during the race, yea right what a load of bull.that is how f1 and sky make any money.

i feel this is the begining of the end for f1, which is a shame as it was getter better and better year on year recently

This bit does worry me somewhat. ITV promised in 1997 when they got F1 that they would do picture in picture so you'd still be able to see (in small) some of the action whilst the adverts were on, but this never materialised. Is very much a shame - F1 has been awesome, especially in recent years, and Beeb coverage has been pretty great too.
Can see lots of followers stopping watching F1 as they don't want to fork out for a Sky (+ additional sky sports probably) subscription which is gonna come to what, £40 per month total?!

F#%k SKY. I'd rather just watch a download of it the next day for free. I'm not paying £40+ on top of the compulsory license fee to watch adverts spoil it. I hardly watch TV and don't get how people have the time to sit around long enough to watch it and justify the expense

Thats just F%$ked up !
Why didnt the BBC just dump some of the crappy programs they have on and pump money into something that is pulling in Millions up on Millions of viewers >?
And Sky sports **** THAT! Ill take my ESPN for Free thank you very much.
