Got my RoadHawk in car camera fitted, had lots of great footage which was lost thanks to a dogdy ebay SD card and the police losing my first one (had footage of a vandal smashing a car window + boy racer chav doing in excess of 90mph thorugh a roundabout then nearly knocking motorcyclist off his bike.
Got a new card and all is well.
Thought i'd upload some footage so you see what you get.
Installing rear cam soon for rear shunts etc

Here are 3 different incidents. 3 different light levels. poor frame rate thanks to poor screen capture software.

Not great at night, but would hold up as evidence in a case.

Stupid Corsa - https://youtu.be/fCsaGG2OKkQ
Wrong way driver and taxi - https://youtu.be/z9dO36tMOiI
Me sliding on icy cobbles (only doing 12mph) - https://youtu.be/ioArwUMVet0

The software actually shows GPS location using google maps software, live tracking and pin pointing, shows speed (gps retrieved) and will automatically creat a save file if you brake harshly or crash (stiff suspensions set's it off ALL the time, need to chage sensitivity settings) Iv'e cropped file to just show footage

It's lucky someone left an empty space for you to park in ;)
I know, usually that street is crammed right to the corner, was very lucky, hit the curb quite hard though, put a small nick in my tyre.

Jesus, pretty sure most of us will have trusted mechanics or friends who are mechanics. Never know what really happens with your car. You hear about people going in for oil changes, the car sits in the car park for 2 hours then gets picked up, nothing gets done, customer pays...

I think the quality on these cams could be better, but all the other features make it worth while having. Especially if you can get them cheap, i got the one for my rear window for £20! Normally £200, someone sold it on eBay, pick-up only in my town...bargain! All wired into the interior light, only a few cm of cable shows, nice and neat. Turns on when you unlock your doors. OPnce you lock your doors it continues filming for 30 minutes before the twingo shuts power off to the interior light.

I've been looking at some of these cameras for the exact reasons you've highlighted in your videos. :)

Was looking at this kit : https://www.flyonthewall.uk.com/infrared-car-dvr-camera-32gb-vga-continuous-record-p-333.html

Seems good for the money and easy to move from one car to another.

Looks good, try find some reviews, this is my 3rd in car camera...the rest have all broken pretty quickly. At work, we have a 4 camera CCtV system with a 250gb hard drive, i actually considered wiring it up in the car. 4 infrared cams and recorder box and lcd screen £400 from maplin. Bulky but could be done neatly.

Handy thing with the roadhawk is deffinatley the GPS! Good if you need to prove where your car came from...people always say...oh, he shot out of that sidestreet without looking, when in fact, they crossed into your land and cut you off. Happend to my dad, took over a year to get through the courts...if he had the roadhawk, it would have been sorted rightaway!

I want to buy one of these cameras, put my car into Arnold Clark to see if they actually do any work!

Worth while buying one. Get one 2nd hand, if you decided to sell it on, you will no doubt get your money back.
Very discreet cams, sit flat against the screen, infront of rear view mirror, you can angle the lens from there.

Just found out my settings were all wrong.
Quality was set to: ROUGH and the fps was poor too.
Set to high everything so should see improvement in quality!

Will get vid asap.
Also changed g-force sensetivity. Was going off all the time with the cup chassis xD Filled my 8gb SD in a few days.
Also increased resolution as well as fps and general quality.
