As the title says i couldnt quite tell whether the black roof is wrapped or painted, can anyone shed some light on this please? the reason im asking is ive noticed a few quite large sratches which is devasting seen as ive only had the car a week :(

Looked painted to me. Does it have a lip at the edge at all, however slight?

when i look at it with my boot up there is a slight one i think but not enough to convince me, ive never seen a wrapped roof before tbh so i might be totally wrong when i say theres a lip :/

How it was written in the brochure mentions the silver and black paintwork, which I took to mean they were painted and not just wrapped.

thanks guys, so my next question is has anyone got any tips on how to get these scratches out?

Most people will probably suggest Super resin polish, OR if you have balls.... wet sand it, but that's not reccomeded unless you're a pro.

thats one extreme to the other and would depend on the depth of the damage and how thick the paint is. Black shows scratches quite well.

Something with a lot of fillers and a light cut to the polish may reduce the edge and fill the dip sufficiently to mask it. However it would reappear once the fillers wear away.

A machine polish would be able to easily cut back to lessen or completely remove the scratch.

Wet sanding, by hand or machine shouldn't be needed on Renault paint to remove a scratch.

Mine's black and showed a fair few scratches on the roof under direct light. I use farecla g3 applied with waffle pads, and then autoglym super resin polish. They don't work miracles, but do a good job on the paintwork without damaging it.

Hey, ive been using poor boys white diamond and black hole polish for any imperfections and scratches in my paint, its fantastic! Makes the car really shiny too! :)

Depends on the scratch of course, no one can really tell you over the Internet what to do without knowing more :p
And without knowing how deep it is, and what products you have it would be hard to suggest anything

As above, hard to know without seeing it.

If they look like swirly marks you can see in the sun. Super Resin Polish will fill them and leave you a nice shiny finish.

If they seem a little deeper then something with microabrasives would work such as Dodo Juice Lime Prime. A little more heavy duty is Meguiars Scratch-X, it's like a modern day T-Cut but a lot safer on your paint. :)
