I have got a set of RS 133 alloys to put on my GT i cant see why they wont fit but i thought i would ask to see if anyone knows better. the tyre size i got for them is 205/40/17 so its 17 inch of rim and 40mm of tyre.

The /40 doesn't represent mm

It is the sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the tyre width is it not?

So 82mm

Either way they fit. Holly has them on her dynamique with 195s

oo i thought it was MM. ok good just got toyo proxes for them as they had toyo r888 which only had 2 ish mm on them. Might keep them for the track.

I think Hollie found spacers were needed for the wheel to clear the suspension. Have a look at her progress thread .

she has got 25mm but a few people saying they fit fine. i guess i will see. how would i calculate weather it would rub on suspention??

your current alloys are ptobably between ET35 to ET38 and probably 6.5" wide...
The cup alloys are ET55 so up to 20mm further inboard. Plus an extra 1/4 inch for the different rim width.

just put one on and it rubs the suspention. would a spacer solve this or should i get 195/40/17 instead of 205/40/17. if it was a spacer then 25mm

20mm spacers would effectively make the Cup alloys ET35, so the same as your originals (or not far off-maybe 3mm further out if they were ET38)

is that with the 205/40/17. in the equasion as i have purchased them and its cost me 325 fitted for toy proxes in that size. So do you rekon that the 20mm spacers will be good??

i have been told that the bolts will not fit if i get 20mm spacers so i have got 10mm spacers.

dont most spacers come with shortened head bolts which bolt the spacer to the hub then you use the standard wheel bolts to bolt the wheel to the new spacer threads?

10mm spacers will need wheel bolts 10mm longer than the standard ones.

20mm bolt on ones come with a set of bolts to attach the spacer to the hub. The wheel is then bolted on with the original bolts. 20mm would get you closer to the original offset.

Thanks for everyones help on this. got it all sorted back in march but didn't get a chance to put up any thanks.
