Does anyone have experience with maintaining the rubber sealings around your windows?

The rubber seals on the Wind and around the roof sometimes look a little fragile and especially with good weather coming, dust and dirt gets easily between them.

Is there a product to use on the sealants to keep the from wearing and keeping them nice and flexibel?

I've heard different ideas, from vaseline, oil, to the good ol' spit and rub :p

Few different rubber/vinyl products I've used.

Chemical Guys V.R.T Dressall is pretty good :

Couple of ones I rate that you can get in Halfords. Meguiars Ultimate Protectant is similar to the product above, basically a liquid you apply with a microfibre.

Lastly is Autoglym Rubber and Vinyl Care. I tend to spray it onto a microfibre then wipe over interior and exterior surface. Must admit I really like this as it's easy to get hold of and I use it on the dashboard, exterior trim, rubber seals etc.

Gtechniq C4 is the most awesome trim restorer ive used . It crystalizes on the trim basically adding a layer , and its a permanent trim gel so you shouldnt need to apply again .

I used it on my 133 when i bought it and havent had to apply since 2 years on and still as good .

It is very expensive fir what you get but in the long run it pays for itself.

I've bought that Autoglym when I was at Heavon On Wheels. Also used it on my interior and it makes all look nice and shiny

The AutoGlym stuff is basically a trade bulk chemical ( I won't name it) and is silicone based, so sits on the top and will wash off. To condition seals you need the product to soak in to restore the plasticisers which weather and UV remove.
The product I recommend therefore is Race Glaze Colour Enhance, which, like seals and all plastic trim is petroleum based so soaks in, lasts up to a year and recolours in a matt effect. A 250ml bottle at £8.99 will last for years.
As a special offer to you, I have one 100ml bottle here we did as a special which is £5 delivered UK mainland. But you'll have to call us on 01780 749449.

I think it is only fair (as you haven't mentioned it strangely) that vertar, race glaze and I believe also morethan polish are in fact also you. Therefore there has to be an element of bias to your advice. I'm not commenting on the product (as I haven't used it since my 55 wax was deeply disappointing) but merely pointing out the fact in case people don't realise

Incidentally I found Einszett Rubber Care Gummi Pflege the best on rubber seals specifically. For a start it's not a trim dressing, it's for seals.

Nothing, just when its hot, it stick to it, washed it several times, seems to get better of the chewing gum luke clue they use to stick it on
