Looks to me like they didn't intend to widen the space but some doofus didn't know how to use the tape measure prior to painting the lines, hence the tiny space on the left and the big space in which you are parked. Not to mention the alignment of the space the Clio is in behind with your space. :lol:
Plus the spaces in the background look more the right size.

Our Sainsbury's got redone last year, no widened spaces though. They're tight enough as it is. They wanted to make it multi-storey but that would have looked stupid! :lol:
