Service light switch off

Hi all recently had my car serviced outside of main dealer and the buggers forgot to switch the light off, any idea if this can be done DIY?

Do you have the trip control buttons on the end of the wiper stalk? If so...ignition on (position 2) scroll through using the buttons on the end of the stalk so it displays the mileage to service or service due screen then push and hold one of the stalk buttons until it flashes and resets the mileage to service. Hope this makes sense and sorts your problem out
