Well my brief flirtation with a RS 133 is over, I've just sold it today after 7 weeks and at a £1300 loss  Have my own reasons for doing so though.

What's the shortest time anyone's owned a car, what was it and what's the greatest financial loss suffered?

21 hours for a Mini Clubman - got the same as I paid for it.
3 days for a BMW 535 - lost £200
8 days for a Cavalier. Made £350 on it.:D

Biggest loss on a car - probably £6k on an Alfa in a year, or £15k on a 120d over 3 years - though there could be others, that I have erased from my memory.

ha no longer can you complain at me :p

Mine has to be 6 months and made £800

13 months for me. Feels like a lifetime compared to some on here

Looked at the twingo but decided I needed to curb costs and bought a smart. Then realised the smart drank fuel so did the right thing and bought the car I wanted the first time

Don't listen to mercedes about slow depreciation. Bought for £9k worth £4k after that period of time. Despite being the fancy passion spec

Yeah, I didn't like it - so persuaded someone else that they did, and sold it to them. ;)

Can sympathise with that! First car after passing test was a Smart Pure Cabriolet...bought for 5k and sold about 7 months later for 3350 or something like that, cos it was too slow. 0-60 in like never

Mine wasn't bad 0-60 actually and handled well after I sorted the suspension and was the first in the uk to fit the arb from the 450 ;)
But the hit was painful. I got slightly more after playing hard with Renault in the end
