Can anyone tell me if it's possible to mount a bike rack on roof of Renaultsport twingo silverstone edition or a tow bar rack? Bike fits after removing rear wheel but often traveling long distance so would be cleaner on outside of car. Cheers!

I've just moved this to here, instead of the Archived sales section.

Someone recently found all the bits for roof bars for a Twingo. Back in a minute :)

You beat me to it singlespeed! Yeah, I did that off ebay - nice and cheap and it does the job. The renault sport models are no different to my boggo one :)

Good luck.

Thanks boys! took me long enough to reply...just a novice at all this car forum stuff and plus ive been busy ripping the tits out of the silverstone..magic! trying to make up for driving the mx5 for 2 years! renaultsport have delivered me a car that will keep me a renault customer till i win lottery!..altough after having a read of posts info on engine etc mby didnt run 45/50 in quite as calm and calculated as others...got me paniked abit reading everyones clear knowledge/wisdomof looking after new car... but then it is a new car so should be good to go! anyways decided tow bars not for me besides only 1 bike i need to carry...your thule pick in mix from ebay looked just the ticket but can it be done on mine? plenty space for bike with front wheel off but the cars mint man! not even had a smoke in it! thanks again enjoy! oh and ive ordered the gold accesories pack!

ps just re read your post and noticed your have indeed answered me again..thanks im ofv to ebay! and the fridge for more drink

:) glad to hear you are enjoying the new car! A brilliant model you have there.

After having a brief look on ebay it doesn't appear that the twingo specific fitting kit is on at the moment - halfords do that bit for about 30 pounds if you can't get one off ebay.

My kit hasn't fallen off or dented the car yet - so I'm going to say my list will be okay for yours :)

had a look and couldnt find it either... are all parts available in halfords...where does it fit on to car? the 2 hole above either door...honestly mate totally novice..after having the 2 seater to have this feels like having an estate with a jet engine.. :D realise only 50 have been made but is it so wrong to stick a bike on top  its orange made by orange so matches the seatbelts.... cheers for the feed back

anyway pardon me what bike you carrying on the beast east? me.... orange g2...cylcle to work scheme although i drive?!

It fits onto the rear of the two holes above the doors - then into the gap above the rear passenger windows - the thule book should tell you exactly where ( need a bit of measuring )

Although only 50 were made - you must use it as your own car, personally I think roof racks look very nice on a small car ( that's why mine is permenantly on now )

All is available from halfords at about 160 pounds so not too much more than I paid, but as you can tell from my car and bike - moneys tight.

I have a standard decathlon "rockrider" bike - got it for a hundred pounds off a mate a few years ago, not a patch on your g2 though! :)

If money is tight and your doing any milage above 30mph, get the rack off unless your using it. They tend to kill the mpg for want of laziness removing it.

fair point - the rack is in near constant use this next week (and the past two) work schedule went a bit lighter so ive been doing a lot of biking.

when work gets heavy again in a few weeks it will come off :)

defo on and off for mpg at the min as only getting 2 runs a month max on bike...aye minted bike got beacuse of goverment cycle to work offer... basically new bike up to a grand paid in small tax deductions? feels like new bike for nowt anyway.. £160 isnt bad price but cheap option and doing it myself much more tempting...totaly get point of making it own car despite 50tag..post pics on completion..cheers again boys..enjoy
