Can someone please figure out and tell me how I can get the radio to stop "searching" for channels when it doesn't think it has a signal.

I have one of these iPod to radio things (which are usually crap, but this when is brilliant and crystal clear) but for some reason, even when the ipods coming through loud it still wants to randomly search for a correct signal.

I can't for the life of me figure how to make it stop searching...

Thank you!

P.S I have the orginal radio, little gray one not the black one though.

Have you tried another station? It may be that another station is interfering and causing it to search

You don't have any of them funny settings on do yoyu? Like news, traffic or any of the others? My stereo in my old car would constantly look for something else regardless of what I was listening to and I was told by mercedes it was one of these settings, they didn't bloody turn it off though

does it do it if you set the radio to manaual??

on my radio, its the mode button that changes it to manual / preset etc

No it's on Preset. I suppose I haven't tried it on manual really... Surely it should do it either way. It actually did it this morning on a normal radio station, clear as anything it still wants to search.
