Standard exhaust tip finisher

Can anyone tell me if the standard exhaust tip finisher is removable, or is it welded to the pipe?

If your looking to change just the tip depending on the material your new one is you could have any garage cut off the standard tip and weld on a new one or if the new one is stainless you can cut the old one off and fit the new one so long as it's of a length greater than the standard one.

Mine's pretty black and mucky. I was going to just use some Autosol or similar grainy metal polish and see how it polishes up. That or a dremel with the wire brush then paint it with black heat-proof paint.
