Steve Jobs Resigns!

Don't know if you guys have heard that he resigned as CEO of apple and will now undertake a different role as chairman of the company!

Apparently he will still do all of the keynote speeches etc.. and it won't effect the release of any upcoming products! (iPhone 5 mainly)

Thoughts?

He's made his money and doesn't need as much hassle. Fair play to him

He's also been quite ill in the last ten years.

Yeah he has been ill and had pancreatic cancer, he had a liver replacement too.

Good luck to him as you said Steve-O, he has made his money, and after building the company up to what it is today its good he is leaving while it is at its peak!

Just a shame to see him go after all the innovations that apple have made, hope to see the business carry on in the same direction!

He has done a great job and it's a shame his health has to stop him carrying on the success. Wish him all the best

He's going to become chairman of Apple, so his influence will still be around for a few years yet, and he'll still likely do the keynotes etc. He's also being replaced by Tim Cook, who's been his stand in over the past six months or so.

Jobs has done a good job with apple, and I'm sure this isn't the last we've seen of him...
