So the information is here, all MK2 Clio's share the same strut brace with the Twingo.

You may find that the inner edges need filing away to fit perfectly but with enough brute force it'll fit on :)

Do they share the same front and rear strut brace ?? Or just rear ??

The scuttle panel infront of the windscreen is different on the Twingo, having a dish for the cabin air intake. Meant a Mk2 clio front brace wouldn't fit without extra work

There is a front brace available for the Twingo though

I think that clio's front strut brace is not compatible with our cars (the rear is the same)

only worth while if you want it for bragging rights, clio/twingo chassis is very stiff, bolt on braces make no difference unless you are welding them in

Correct but they look cool

Really? Should make some difference though right?

I know theres a huge list of braces available for corsa vxr's and theyvare pretty modern.

Just my opinion, but the front strut tops are not far from the bulkhead... having rubber top mounts, theres probably more movement in the rubber than any flexing to inner wings.

Rear brace across the top of the rear shocks. Being mounted on to rubber bushes, I fail to see how it could add any rigidity to the suspension assembly which connects to the back of the rear footwell or the chassis when theres rubber involved in the mounting. Its not cross braced or rigidly mounted so it would just flex as one side of a parallelogram

So what I think Neil is saying is:

Scrap strut braces and get some solid top mounts as they WILL make a proper difference :p

Simply yes :p

I've got some here to fit but couple mates got then for Clio 2 rs and love them I'm with Martin with the struts like tbh

Since purchase I've intended to replace the gearbox mount, upper engine mount and the top mounts. But not bothered :p had a female colleague in my car earlier who commented the ride was quite stiff (without me saying a thing! Honest) and it made me wonder how special and different the 133 seems at first glance. I my consider these now my car is 2 years old (registered 8th march 2011) and how a few things might need refreshing. Tbh I've considered buying an old Saxo diesel as a daily and spanking my savings at ktec (simply saying.. Whatever Neil does, I want doing) then someone who gets a lift might say special and not stiff
