Dad wanted to take the wheels off his car today and seal them.... he has become obsessed with detailing recently...

anyway... he got the jack out and up his car went and off the wheels come... his car is an X5...its huge... its heavy... no axel stands....no rush.. he just left it like this for ages... he is a brave man!

Thats how i have done my wheels yesterday and today.

Dont like the way one o the wheels are on there face !

nor did i and i told him that... but the rubber protects the alloy..and there wasnt a mark on it.. i was surprised!

If that was our wheels we would be looking for a refurber or a new set of wheels

Karl u can come and get mine and clean it if u want just drop it back tomorrow so I can get to work Monday. R sort u out a fiver for doin it lol

I've seen pro detailers take wheels off and keep the cars stood on a trolley jack like that. Speaking with the guy he trusts them more than axle stands!

As Mr Geeko says though, risky business putting a wheel on it's face like that. lol

And good lad on spending 8 hours on the car. Sometimes it just needs to be done.

Cleaned mine yesterday.. 30mins, job done! Until it gets annihilated by seaguls again. Gotta love working in a seaside holiday resort town! (why do the old biddies insist on feeding the bloody ***** hawks!?)
