Hey just got my a-level results (did crap). Now I'm taking a gap year and training as a gym instructor. I could do with some ideas for something interesting and different to what other people do, to do over the year.

Cheers guys.

(wrote this over 5 hours ago but forgot to send it)

If you're training to be a gym instructor you could do something to do with fitness for charity? Me and my Dad did the West Highland Way 2 years on the trott and gave all the money we raised to the British Legion and Help for Heroes, was almost 3 grand I believe.

There seems to be a few posts missing

Doing some charity work sounds good :) I'll try an get a few friends that work at the gym to join in as well after I think of a challenge :p

go and try new things and see new things!!

life is soo precious and short, maximise it!

Enjoy your time! save some money and get a good bit of savings behind you for your next move in life.

this year you will come across a lot of complete tools that talk about their "totally epic time at uni" - Just remember you are the one with the pay packet coming in. I speak from experience.

most importantly - try to make the I music into a rocket :D (awaits I music based slurs etc)

Anyhow,
I decided my life was very dull so i decided to do a few things this year...
Bought a 133
Went Skydiving
Traveled from Barcelona to Belcaire in France
Borrowed a quad bike to go off into the hills for a few days
Built a drift trike...started drift triking
Booked a direct access motorcycle course
Broke up with my GF so i could be free to enjoy myself more...if you get me
Spent one of my ISA accounts on fine champagne, gin and good red wine
Bought a Double Bass
Completely replaced my wardrobes contents
Got tickets for a concert/festival at least once every 2 months
Started mega saving for a mortgage
Started making more time for friends & family
Sold my entire Moomin collection because i spent so much doing stupid stuff and need to get money for a mortgage again xD
but... i feel good for it all xD

Still to do:
go bungee jumping
Track day
fly a plane
pass my bike test
Visit Finland
and a lot more...

Maybe some ideas there...

The dirt can only be in the mind of readers, from what I read, or posted. I don't even think it would have been a broadcasting problem, before the 9pm watershed.

From the T&Cs
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “Twingo133.net - Twingo Renaultsport Owners Club” is hosted or International Law.

I didn't see anything illegal.

Back to the thread, get your passport out, and drive. See where it takes you, and when you get there, look for some casual work. Find somewhere else, and do the same. You may find your life starts going in a completely different direction to that which you thought you had planned.

fly a plane

If this is something you want to do, can I also suggest flying a glider, particularly from a winch launch. I've flown a plane and a glider, and they are both awesome experience. The sheer silence whilst gliding around in the air is very awesome, as is the roller-coaster climb of a winch. Quite the different experience to a plane, but both excellent.
