i would rather not do that cause the amount of research and parts you break in that car you can have a much more fun and safe car then one boosted up old golf running over 3 bar of boost wich is ridiculous for the amount of lag you will be getting ...

Each to their own but I think the r32 and golf R are great cars and would choose them over a megane RS anyday.

Also the GTi has a great balance between being a family car and a decent performance car.

But that much power in a classic golf is definitely going to be an interesting ride.

I like Golfs but I couldn't justify paying the extra when I could get another VAG equivalent for cheaper, and is virtually the same car underneath. Like I'd rather take a Leon Cupra or an Octavia VRS before a GTI.

You'd get use to staring at the arse of a Megane then mate, anything from VW is just plain dull, it's what folks buy when the don't know any better!
