Ok so I'm looking at possibly getting a set of these for my facelift 133?

https://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=3830&appid=18

I had H&R springs on my old 133 which I think lowered it 20mm all round. This time I want to go for coilovers though and lower it 40mm all round.

Does anyone have experience of what the 133 lowered this much is like and if so would anyone recommend this kit.

Also does everyone think on day to day driving with coilovers? For example will I still be able to get in and out of a multi story car park without destroying the underneath of my car and what are speed bumps like to contend with?

Ollie drives on coils and his is slammed and yotah drives pretty low as well and so far there isn't any problems for them I think. + they drive on 15'

My wind is also on coils from Weitec (same coils as the Twingo RS) and its lowered about 40 to 50 mm (dunno exactly :p ) but I actually really need smaller wheels because my 17" is too big. I have cracks on the inside of my wheelarch :?

I have 17" just now but I wouldn't really be looking to change them as I really like them. Are the cracks from where the wheels are rubbing the arches when you go over speed bumps etc?

I'm on pi springs yea fair enough I need to sort my arch out but it's not bad and it's catching I've been thinking about going down to a 16" wheel

Amoungst yes. But also taking turns/roundabouts too fast.

Strangely its only the front right wheel that rubs, not the left one.

I actually never checked but maybe it's a little lower on the right than on the left..

If you use the car daily, whats the commute like? smooth or rough roads. If smooth, slam!, if rough, No Slam!

I live in Aberdeen and the roads can be pretty bad but comfort doesn't really bother me. If I lowered it 30mm with already having a cup chassis and 17" alloys will it scrap the arches and what would it be like in car parks and going over speed bumps? Plus if I go over pot holes does having the car lowered do more damage to parts?

I would say don't. Other half's Twingo 133 cup has a firm ride as it is.
And as for Clio he is the most uncomfortable car in the world!!! Why would you want to make it worse?! Lol

However like the others said, if you prefer looks over comfort.. personal preference really

When you lower a car drastically would it be better to get new smaller alloys? I'm not to bothered about comfort but if anyone has experience I'd like to know whether or not I'll be hitting the underneath of my car on anything?

mine is mega low and my wheels rub on my arches on full lock and occasionally in a multistorey car park the front will hit the floor lol

Like vag whores say: If you ain't rubbin, you ain't dubbin

am lowered 60mm all round wheels dont catch arch. handles like maradonna but perhaps not the most comfortable on bumpy roads only caught one speed bump so far but it was a big speedbump
