took me a year to realise!

Right, this may make me look rather dim, but I noticed something about the wipers today after owning the car for over a year.

If they are on constantly (not the fastest speed) and you pull up to a stop, they automatically act as if they are switched to intermittent. Just thought that was quite a fun little feature!

My car doesn't have auto wiper sensors, so apologies if this seems silly for those with the posher cars. does anyone elses extreme/ freeway/ any other model that doesn't have a sensor do this?

Its not a sensor though is it? Just when your not moving they dont move as much because your stationary? Mines the same

ooh good, its not broken then :p

My last renault had the sensor thing on the interior mirror, so I didnt expect the twingo to do anything clever as it hasn't got one - must be as mentioned, that its linked to speed :D

The mrs's clio doesnt do it... but it is a T reg.

I wonder what else the Twingo does that I didnt know.

Just been out in it poking buttons in the hope it would reveal some other things I didn't realise..... apart from finding out the cigarette lighter shoots out and lands on my foot (its on the drive... was in socks) it does nothing else super cool.

Time to start mucking about with it!

I found out last week if you hold down the lock button for 5 seconds you can turn auto locking on and off.. I remember them showing me when i oicked it up about 1 and a half years ago and wondered why it never worked!
Locks at 5mph now if you didnt know this either :D

Saved my neck when some butter tried to get in my car at a set of lights

Hahaha i am still yet to experience this.. But its funny watching my girlfriend frantickly rag the door handle like a spacker giving a hand job whilstbim sat inside nice and warmm

Mine has always done the lock thing, but I didn't realise you could turn it off!!

Sometimes it makes me look a bit creepy "what was that noise uncle tom?" "..... The doors are now locked mwo hahahahahah"

The self locking thing is called RAID - Renault Anti Intruder Device. Hold down the lock button until it beeps and it turns it off and on. :)

Even the wipers on the MKII Clios used to slow down if you had them on a fast wipe and you came to a stop. A nice touch though.

What age is a MK2 clio? we own a T reg, I don't think it does it, but who knows what I haven't noticed haha.

Kept the RAID on on mine, cracking little feature, always forgot to lock the doors in my corsas! Anyone else find on the wipers the speed control is about as much use as a chocolate teapot? Seems to do what it wants anyway!

Right..... Either I'm being a simpleton or Panda isn't playing ball..... (your choice guys ;) )

Explain to me when to hold the lock button down please. I've done it when locking the car and after it's locked and nothing, nadda, zilch.

Now unless it's because Panda is a Cup is the reason then I've no idea otherwise. How do you know when it's been activated BEFORE you start moving?

Thanks A. Simpleton

You are using the interior lock button, not the one on the key, right?

Get in the car, and before doing anything, hold the interior dash mounted button down for a long time ( think its about ten seconds) it should clunk or beep to tell you its done it.

I'll double check in mine when I get it back later tonight :) sorry for the vagueness.

Yeah the button on the dash.. Hold that down, dont think it matters if its locked or not in the first place.. Should be 5 seconds and then it will make a bleep noise.. Then after 5mph it will auto lock :)

Ahhhh I thought you meant the key based lock button not the dash one. Will go out an do it next time I'm in Panda.

Cheers chaps.
