Right - twingo based choice to follow.

basically I have found out that my fiance's car is a bit of a death trap (more than I thought) with lots wrong with the engine as the cambelt snapped and was badly repaired. anyway, she has just hit it on a wall (aslwell as a massive dent done in her works car park) had a quote to fix the panel damage and the mechanical issues - and we have been advised that its over a thousand pounds to fix up a T reg clio... which I refuse to pay.

so my choice is very hard - keep the clunker clio with a lot of risks and have a nice twingo to drive. or trade in both for two older cars so she is in something safer. I dont want to loose the twingo, but money is tight and the only way to get her driving something safer is to use its value to get her a 2K car (and me a 2K car)

not sure what to do.. what is more important... the twingo 1.2 or changing her horrible car?

It pains me to say, but if your fiance needs a car for work, and by the sound of things that clio if anything but up to the task, the twingo will more then likely have to go.

The only other option would be to find a cheap lease deal, plenty around the 100 to 150 pcm if that's something you can stretch to, which could mean selling the twingo, but having a daily runabout for yourself, and a safer, warranty covered car for the fiance (or whoever has the longest work commute)
