Singlespeed's OH, took twinglet, Neils naming, non mine!!!, (facelift 1.2 dynamique) to garage for checkup (suspect oil leak), which wasn't there. (yes, I am female, but have HNC in Mech Eng. So not a total dumb female). Arrived back at garage, only to find out, there was a problem with the central locking system, which wasn't there, when I gave them keys.

After, a trip home to collect the spare set of keys, which didn't rectify the problem. Their mechanic, stated that they had only encountered that problem with a clio previously. So, there's actions to rectify the situation/problem, after speaking to Renault Uk, was to disconnect the battery and reconnect it and if by magic, the problem has been sorted.

After speaking with neil, I am aware of this problem with the 133's, with option of pulling the correct fuse, which, is the easier option, but when mentioned to the mechanic. He didn't appreciate the option of a female understanding the problem. So not much of a story but it can happen to the lesser twingos.

Hello mrs singlespeed. I was the first too experience the problem as far as I'm aware. It first happened too me on my 1.2 twingo extreme and has also happens on my rs133. With my extreme I had too wait 2 hours for the friendly AA man too run a diagnostics through his computer. He then tried the fuse and told me if it happens again to just remove the 5amp fuse.
Tell the mechanic that the AA's official fox is the fuse an see what he says too that.

Hi Mrs singlespeed!
This has happened with me too. Last FCS everyone had to leave me at the hotel. Wouldn't lock and also wouldn't start. Was like the car was dead. After advice from chicken Maggi started to pull out the fuses until everything on the car lit up again l.

This happened with my old rs twingo. I disconnected the battery for about 5 mins and that sorted it.

Welcome mrs singlespeed by the way :) we need pics of your car though, those are the rules :)

Mrs Singlespeed, was it you in Twinglet that waved at me going though Elgin last week near the old Safeway? :L
