Just bought this today, a Twingo RS 133 -09 with cup package. It was very beneficial to browse this forum before buying it. Thank you for all info in here!

Not much to say about it so far, even though a friend already has started teasing me to buy the full K-tec exhaust and remap and I'm soooo tempted https://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4571&appid=18 But I'll stay strong and resist, at least as long as I still have the other car to pour my money into  Track days will be way cheaper in the Twingo though than in the BMW. We'll see what's in the future *he said looking into his wallet*

Only thing with the Twingo is vibration from the front when braking.

So what could be a good place to buy new front disks and pads? (yes I'll do track days with it of course :D  ) Any tips on what and where to buy are deeply appreciated!!

Cheers!

Welcome! Love that colour!

Being here won't help with wanting to keep that money in your wallet!

I have just fitted them along with the DS2500 pads, highly reccomended!

You Swedish are also lucky that you can do basically anything to a car.

Go Gatebil! :p

Oh and welcome!

for bracking system keep standart system
it's really good

loot people upgrade for somethings else and finaly came back to the standar

or you can upgrade directly to R2 setting

I nearly got a mirage grey. They look lovely! I was put off by the bouncy ride and bought a sport instead :)

For brakes I can recommend pagid discs and pads. Direct replacement and a lot cheaper than genuine renault parts.
These are quality not some ebay special!

I put Brembo HC disks + Ferodo 2500 on the fronts and new brake fluid. Vibrations gone. Brakes work great on track and street. Only thing is that they stick a bit when warm. So when releasing the brake pedal there is still some braking applied. Any ideas? The brake piston rubber seals are 100% intact but my guess is to take the pistons out of the calipers and make sure there is no rust or goo.

I couldn't resist ordering some stuff :D

From www.lzparts.de I've ordered RenaultSport floor mats, a makeup mirror sun visor for the passenger side (wife commented on the lack of one :D ) and the center arm rest.

Then I went slightly overboard ordering the under seat bass speaker from Focal, the iBus 2.1 that comes with ultra smart wiring. I think it'll be very beneficial to be able to use the included active crossover for the front speakers to cut deep bass from the fronts. When I've done car stereos before cutting the lower end from the fronts usually means much higher max volume and also clearer sound since they don't have to flop back and forth trying to produce disco levels of thumping bass, hehehe.

iBus 2.1 installed. Still a lot of sound settings tweaking to do but a great piece of kit!!!

Only problem I have is to get a proper 12 volt main feed. Haven't found a way to get through from the cabin to the battery in the engine bay. I'm just temporarily tapping into the incoming 12 volt lines on the fuse box under the steering wheel (yup LHD)

Being Left Hand Drive, yours may be different. If its the same bulkhead, this may help as we have a blanking grommet fitted to a hole, but you may find you have a cable or something already passing through it from your peddles :?

not particularly clear of the grommet as I wasn't intending to show it, but its almost shown. Obviously on the bulkhead and almost visible behind the large white blob in the foreground.

Comes out just left of the center console on the (uk) passenger side

Thanks, I've been looking at the thread with that pic, need to remove the air intake and possibly more to get to it though? And I think the hole your arrow is pointing at is used for one of the pedals on a LHD. But I think I might be able to use the hole for the cables from the battery to the fuse box inside the car. If I only could get to it... I think I'll go by a car stereo shop this week and ask if they can help with this last bit.

So far I've done one track day and one time attack. It's a fun little car this :D

I tried to put the cable from the battery to my ICE through that plug but it was not possible.

Maybe if you'd cut it open but it's a hard piece of plastic.

I had to go through the side in the engine bay, in the side panel (where the side indicator sits) to the side of the door into the cabin.

I decided to connect it to one of the fat power cables coming into the fuse box inside the car. The under-the-seat-amplifier is separately fused with a 30A fuse. There is a theoretical risk that I can blow one of the larger fuses inside the engine compartment when on full blast thumping away some dance music :D But I really highly doubt it :D Very happy with the sound. Took quite some time tweaking all the knobs on the amp though....
