My twingo wouldn't start after school and when it did it lost power instantly or just carried on increasing its revs. So a very slow careful and kangarooy 1 mile journey to the nearest Renault dealer I'm now waiting on the results.

It had the toxic fume light on and service light.

Sad day for puddles :'(

Just got news that it's a seized up throttle body :S there also going to look into the gearbox due to a ticking noise should be all fixed on Wednesday hopefully.

It's all going through warranty so my wallet is safe

Seems a bit strange for a car under warranty, although at least its all done without costing you a thing :D.

Hope you get it back soon!

See what did we say Dubz, you killed it from all your thrashing it around everywhere!!!!

You do let it warm up before you give it a pasting don't you...?

Hate to say I told you so but......
Sad to hear about it thought and hope it gets all sorted

Yeah I do let my engine warm up before I thrash it. That meet was the first time I had red-lined my car!

The guy said it would have been a manufacturing problem rather than from thrashing it as it wouldn't have occurred this early. I don't thrash my car that much. Most of the time I drive like a normal person.

/:) really now I'm gonna loose my eye if you spread that your a good boy often.

So have you got it back yet?

I'm being 100% honest about the first time I red lined my car.

I drive it like any normal 18 year old :p I'm getting it back on wednesday if there's nothing wrong with the gearbox but I know for a fact there is. I hope it wasn't caused by something stupid like not enough oil even though I checked the levels a few weeks ago and it was perfectly fine

Engine oil, or G/box oil?

I checked the engine oil about 4 weeks ago and it was fine. I don't think I checked the gearbox oil though. But that wouldn't cause a throttle body to get stuck would it?
