Hi everyone. Back in the land of the living with just two more operations to contemplate. Looking for info on obtaining and fitting a sump guard, preferrably steel, to my Silverstone Any advice welcome. Thanks, Gallovidian

Look at the R2 catalogue here, might take a little digging.
Otherwise, might be worth while looking at a Clio Sumpguard as they share a VERY similar subframe.

Contact Monster Sport Europe, they run the Twingos for the R1/R2EVOs in the BRC

Thanks Madmatt for helpful advice on obtaining a Twingo Silverstone sump guard. Monster Sport Europe (Nicky Finlayson) has already responded favourably suggesting 4mm aluminium (not for use on gravel stages, but ok for farm tracks)
Ref your father's Clio, I would like the opportunity to look at it. I live near Dumfries ([email protected]) Gallovidian

Not a problem matey, happy to help :D

4mm Ally is all my Dad uses on his road rally cars, but then it is only White Roads i.e - Farm Tracks etc and occassionally Salisbury plain. They stand up well to all the knocks they can take.
We have a friendly Fabrication/Engineering shop near us that makes up alluminium sump guards for him at about £50 for a basic template, tidied edges, front corners cut to 45deg and with a 10deg bend from the middle to the front.

Sure thing buddy, drop me a PM and I'll see if we can sort something out. I shall let him know too.
I'm away at the McRae Stages on Saturday, my Dad MIGHT be but if you drop me a PM with your Mobile number, I'll put him in touch with you :)

EDIT - I was in your neck of the woods for the Scottish Rally a wee while back :)
