Desperatly need two new front tyres today as just noticed I've got a few metal cords sticking out the inside of the tyre :/
Anyone recommend anything else apart from the conti 3's??? Or shall I just go with them again?? Brilliant tyre but quite pricey. Just thought I'd ask if anyone here has tried anything else which is just as good or better.
Cheers

I went for the toyos, and was a bit disappointed. Car has never felt the same! There not good when wet either! I will be going back to contis despite the cost.

I don't no if its cus I dnt have the cup package, who knows.
But that's my opinion, for what it matters! Lol.

Contisport3 may be more expensive but they're decent tyres that should last you quite a while and suits most weather conditions.

Mine have had 15k of abuse and they're only just needing to be changed.

Tyre size is 195 40 17.
And I looked for the toyo's but they didn't have them in that size :(.
Need to try and get everything done to day as the tracking is way out judging by the look of the tyres and the way the car vibrates like mad!!

And yer I spose your right. Expensive but worth the money. Just trying to find the beat deal. Kwik fit can do them for 120 a corner. Best I can find so far.

I cant really fault the Toyo`s they handle well in the wet but it may be because I have the 16 alloys. The only bad thing I can think of is the tyre wear on the front.

I`m not a fan of conti`s as I had no end of issues with my last set. They just kept picking up nails and glass which coursed a lot of punctures. Touch wood I haven't had this issue with the toyo`s. :)

If you've got a Hi-Q round your way, try them - they usually beat the pants off Kwik Fit

Toyo T1Rs come in 205 + for 17s.
You can get 195s for 16s.

I personally liked them, had them on my Rover a while back.
Very grippy in the dry, quite progressive in the wet and oddly good in the snow: I remember the tread pattern throwing the snow out far and high on rotation.

ive got hankook s1 evos on mine, not a bad tyre at all. outlasted my conti 3s, better in the wet but not quite as good in the dry.

road noise is slightly higher though

My last car was small, underpowered and RWD and wore t1r's and in the snow they were fantastic. But were much higher profile than would fit the 133. Their best feature tbh is their price. I won't be fitting a set to my 133

Thanks for all the comments guys but Ended up going to Kwik fit as really urgently needed the tyres as according to my local garage I was on the vurge of a blow out :/. Plus there fairly local to me. Didn't get too bad of a price at £120 a corner including new valves, balancing etc. Was the cheapest anyway near me.
And I'm from Marlborough, Wiltshire.
